Meet Choteau, Montana
There's nowhere else we'd rather hang our hats and plant roots than Choteau. A vibrant community along Montana's Rocky Mountain Front, Choteau is a place you may want to stay and play awhile. It's also a great launching point for exploring the area, from dinosaur digs to local museums and the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex.

Year-Round Fun in Montana
While many people think Montana is a place that's best visited during the summer, in reality we're a tried and true four-season destination.
Summer highlights include visiting Yellowstone and Glacier national parks on an epic Montana road trip, catching a small-town rodeo, hitting local hiking trails or casting a fishing line in Pishkun Reservoir.
Fall brings incredible colorful foliage to our mountains and river bottoms. It's also a great time to cast a fly-fishing line on a mountain stream, set out on a guided hunt or simply road trip through the region.
Winter brings snow-covered landscapes to Choteau and the surrounding area. While it's a quieter time of year, you'll find plentiful events in northcentral Montana, as well as epic downhill skiing and snowboarding at Teton Pass Ski Area, our backyard ski hill.
Spring brings bird migrations to nearby Freezeout Lake, as well as wildflowers and lush landscapes.

Road Trip: YNP to GNP
One of the best ways to see our iconic national parks is on a Montana road trip. Start your journey in Yellowstone National Park — the world’s first — and soak up its 2.2 million acres of thermal features and wildlife that include bison, grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, elk and more.
After you’ve spent time in the park, head north to Choteau (this route will take you through Livingston, Bozeman, Helena and Augusta). After staying and playing in Choteau, continue north on U.S. Highway 89 through Bynum, Dupuyer and Browning. At Browning, you can continue to Glacier National Park’s east entrance in St. Mary, visit Two Medicine or head to Many Glacier.
